Our first visit to Rocky Creek Elementary

A little snow could not stop our awesome new school from opening it's doors to all on Monday for a Sneak Peak!  The boys and I were amazed by the new school.  There is a ceramic tile creek running through the entire school and my favorite is a ceramic tile compass in the center of the school.  It is beautiful and I am so thankful for God allowing our children to be a part of such an amazing place to learn and grow!

Andrew this morning on the first day of school!  I pray he has a fantastic day!  I miss him already.

Andrew's Sick Day Healer

As everyone knows we love our "girls" Ava Grace, Sophie, Gracie and Sasha kitty.  Well, they love us too.  Andrew was a little under the weather and had to stay home from school.  I found Andrew and his kitty, Ava Grace sitting together on the couch.  I think Ava was making sure her boy was okay.  I know he was sick, but it was too sweet not to snap a picture.  Thankfully, Andrew was back to himself the next day and is doing great!!!

Snow Day 2011

Well, the forecasters were correct, it snowed in SC!!!  Being from the south means I can literally count on both hands how many real snows I have seen and this one was a good one.  The boys and I ventured out into the white stuff for a little while to see what we could get into and as always we spent more time dressing to be outdoors than we did outdoors.  Guess the boys have a lot of their picky mom in them.  Daddy was not home allday because he was working to keep the parking lots clear for one of our clients.  It was sad not having him around to play with the boys, but he was working hard for our family.  I cannot say enough about the sacrifices he makes for our family and our business.  It was a nice and relaxing day watching the beautiful white stuff come down and turn the yard into a wonderland of snow!  The boys really enjoyed eating the snow.  Andrew told me that he was full from all the snow he ate.

Andrew's First Duck Hunting Trip

Saturday January 8th, 2011

Andrew and Jason went to our hunting land in Greenwood with friends and family to hunt ducks.  It is was a toss up as to who was the most excited, Andrew or Jason.  Jason was so proud to take his little man to experience something every little boy loves and every dad dreams of doing with their boys.  Being a mom of boys means they will be with their dad more and more as they learn to be boys, but I love and am so happy to see them spend special times with their dad.  Sulli (our 2 year old lab) also went on the hunting trip to do his job of retrieving the dead ducks from the pond.  According to all the men this was an amazing hunt.  Amazing hunt to mommy means all her boys come home safe!  Matthew said all morning while we waited on them to return that when he was 6 he was going to hunt ducks too!  He is too cute when he talks about when he gets to do this or that stuff!  They are growing up too fast!!!

Family Game Night

Family Game Night Champion Cootie Match
Mommy currently holds the champion title!
Poor daddy only earned a body.
Matthew came in second in the red and Andrew came in third in the blue.

It is amazing what you can find fun in the winter months.

Christmas Morning Craziness

Christmas morning was a blast.  Santa came despite lots of opportunities to be on the Naughty list and brought lots of cool toys.  Andrew (6) got a Nintendo DSi and Matthew (3) got Cruncher the Dinasaur.  It is hard to see all the toys in all the mess, but the boys had so much fun playing amongst all the stuff for days following Christmas.  Daddy gave mommy the most beautiful watch and bracelet (despite always being on the naughty list).  Daddy got some neat stuff too for working out at the house.  Great morning with our little family.  I love these days and will never forget all the memories we make with our boys!

Christmas Eve Dinner and Presents at Nanny's

After a laughter filled church service we headed to Nanny's house for celebrate Jesus' birthday and enjoy some fun times opening gifts with our family.  This year was extra special since Aunt Jen has added Uncle Ben to our family tradition.  After dinner and a special birthday cake we jumped into a pile of fun unwrapping all the sweet gifts each of us had for one another.  Let's just say Nanny hit the spot with Matthew's Paper Jamz and Jen and Ben got it right with the boy's Gamecock Jersey's!  I will say Matthew wore his three days straight until I finally made him put it in the clothes basket.  It was a great night for all of us and we hope for all that are reading our blog!
